Green Assets is putting down roots in Mountaineer country.

Last September, Green Assets, Inc., opened the doors to a new office in Morgantown, West Virginia. The expansion marks an exciting chapter of growth for our team and a deepening of our connection to one of the nation's premier forestry programs at West Virginia University.

A New Home in the Wharf District

Located on the 7th floor of Marina Tower in Morgantown's historic Wharf District, the new office sits just a few minutes' walk from WVU's downtown campus. Perched along the Monongahela River and rail-trail, the space boasts beautiful views of “Touchdown City,” in a neighborhood known for its great dining and historic architecture.

We're in good company, too. Marina Tower's eight floors are home to several regionally prominent companies, WVU offices, and government organizations — plus the River Birch Café on the first floor and the River View & Brew rooftop bar.

Leadership and the Team

A special thanks goes to Bailey Evans for leading the charge on procuring and opening the new space. The Morgantown office operates under the leadership of Green Assets' Technical Director, Jonathan Pomp, and will host the company's Technical Division — including Robert Eckenrode and additional team members as we grow.

Building with WVU

The Morgantown location isn't just about geography, it's about people. As Green Assets continues to grow and expand its share of the forest carbon industry, this office allows us to build on our strong relationship with WVU's Division of Forestry & Natural Resources (DFNR), with a primary goal of offering the division's brightest and most engaged undergraduate and graduate students opportunities to join the Green Assets team.

WVU's DFNR is one of the most prominent forestry schools in the United States, sending exceptional graduates into the forestry marketplace year after year. Its alumni have gone on to work at the country's leading forest management companies, carbon offset developers, registries, and verification firms. We're proud to say that every employee and intern at our Morgantown office is an alumnus or current student of the Forest Resources Management program.
