CEO Bailey Evans is on the cover of WilmingtonBiz Magazine's October issue, sharing how forest carbon projects help Southeast landowners keep their land forested for generations.
Green Assets CEO Bailey Evans is featured on the cover of the Fall issue of WilmingtonBiz Magazine in "The Business of Sustainability," written by Cierra Noffke. The story spotlights two Wilmington based companies that are building sustainability directly into their business models.
The article looks at how Green Assets, which works with landowners across nearly 250,000 acres of Southeast forestland, helps turn standing forests into long-term income through carbon projects. Bailey describes forest carbon projects as a form of conservation finance: a way for North Carolina and Southeast landowners to keep land in the family and protected for generations, or to keep sustainably managing timber while also earning carbon revenue.
He also explains why Green Assets covers the cost of each project upfront, handling everything from forest inventory to third-party verification, and how our founder Hunter Parks' experience with his own family land still shapes how we work with landowners today.
"Our tagline is that we like working with landowners because we own land," Bailey said.
Thank you to WilmingtonBiz and Cierra Noffke for sharing our story, and congratulations to fellow featured company Atlantic Packaging.
