Kyra Dukich

GIS Technician

Born and raised in Fairmont, West Virginia, Kyra’s connection to the natural world began with a simple curiosity about the life around her—especially to the plants and animals that make up West Virginia’s ecosystems. Over time, that curiosity grew into a fierce passion for environmental conservation and a desire to better understand the relationship between people and the landscapes they depend on. Kyra pursued her education at West Virginia University, where she earned a B.S. in Environmental, Soil, and Water Sciences, an M.S. in Forestry, and a Graduate Certificate in GIS and Spatial Analysis. Her education gave her a strong foundation for that passion while also strengthening the value of understanding environmental issues from multiple perspectives and exploring the ways different fields can intersect.

Outside of work, Kyra can usually be found paddle boarding, exploring a new hiking trail, or settling in with a good book and a matcha from a local coffee shop.
