The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) unveiled a report on the future of carbon markets in the US.
The report supported open market participation to encourage pricing and project development.
There remain some areas that need improvement, as market transparency amongst traders may become cloudy as over the counter trades currently do not have to meet market requirements.
The report included contributions from brokers, environmentalists, and policy makers.
