American Carbon Registry opens Sacramento office
In preparation for California’s 2013 carbon market launch, the American Carbon Registry (ACR) announced plans to open an additional office in the state capital.
The ACR is a voluntary carbon offset program that has stringent standards for project validation, and aspires to assist with supplying the California carbon market.
The office will be headed by newly appointed ACR California Director Belinda Morris. Ms. Morris has extensive experience in market-based systems including agricultural offset projects and she expressed excitement for the chance to work with current stakeholders as the California market is implemented.
ACR has also teamed up with carbon market infrastructure provider APX in order to streamline the process of acquiring carbon offsets approved for use by the California Air Resources Board.
