Ruben Sabella

Technical Support Forester

Ruben Sabella grew up in the small town of California, Maryland, located on the Chesapeake Bay. This environment provided Ruben with many opportunities to enjoy and explore the outdoors, from the ocean to the mountains. His family would often go hiking and camping together, furthering his appreciation for the outdoors, and conservation initiatives on public land. 

Ruben became a Boy Scout, later achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. He is fluent in Spanish, reflecting his passion for traveling to new places. Previously, he worked with non-profit groups to improve water quality in the Chesapeake Bay and worked for the Maryland State Parks System.

After high school, Ruben went on to attend West Virginia University, where he obtained a B.S. in Forest Resources Management, and an M.S. in Forestry. He now works for Green Assets as a Technical Support Forester.
